The 2006 Vine Village Celebration, Golf Tournament, & Auction is now history.It was a wonderful affair - good feelings all around. Financially it was a moderate success, netting over $71,000, which is certainly nothing to sneeze at. On the other hand, each year this event has yielded less than the year before. So stay tuned for changes!

MEET THE ARTIST
Joe retired two years ago from a 15-year job in a San Francisco law office. The transition from a working man to retiree was very difficult for him. After retirement he began coming to our Arts program full time. Joe loves to make necklaces and to design beads with polymer clay. He thinks he does not know how to paint or draw, but we know he is an excellent artist with a lot of talent. |

MEET THE ARTIST
Heidi is an accomplished artist who works in many different materials. Heidi can transform a dull tissue paper box into a wonderful sculptural head, or a shoebox into a bear, using simple materials like string, glue, paper and old magazines. Her paintings are well-composed and absolutely imaginative. Heidi grew up in Africa, and most of her paintings reflect her African heritage. |

MEET THE ARTIST DIANE PIDGEON Diane is one of Vine Village’s youngest artists. She is extremely talented and earnestly and dedicatedly applies herself to the practice of art. Every day she works hard mixing colors and designing her pieces. She fits perfectly with what the Germans call sitzfleisch, literally sit-flesh, the persistence to stay seated in a chair in order to achieve a goal. The Germans believe that a work of art is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration. This fits Diane perfectly! She is very serous about her art and works diligently to improve her skills. |

Sheila is a talented artist who lives in Napa with her husband. She likes to try different techniques and she applies herself and excels at anything she puts her mind to. Sheila designs beads in polymer clay and then creates wonderful necklaces from them. She also weaves and works in clay. Her paintings are a beautiful expression of her gentle soul. She loves flowers and paints them often. Her nickname is ‘The Purple Girl” because of her love for the color purple. |
